Dreams Beginning with the Letters T, U, and V
When using the Dream Dictionary Guide, be sure to “look up” each dream symbol, color, and number you remember from your dream as well as the emotions you felt or encountered during the dream AND upon wakening from the dream. All of these are clues that’ll help you piece together the puzzle that is your dream’s meaning and interpretation.
T
Table. A table is a symbol for several things in life, so let’s look at each one. First of all, my own personal view of a table is that it symbolizes family and home. We gather around the table for meals with our family as well as family gatherings on holidays.
Others may associate a table with board meetings or work.
Before you can begin to find the meaning of your dream, you have to ask yourself which one of the above options symbolize a table for you. If it’s family, you are probably seeking more quality time with your family and perhaps a return to “how things once were” when you all sat at meals together.
If you associate a table with work or school, then your dream meaning involves an issue at one of these institutions.
Tank (military tank). To dream of a military tank symbolizes your need to defend yourself. This could be a defense mechanism you feel for something you’ve done or for who you are.
Tape. If you dream of taping something together, it indicates that you are looking to mend something in your life – a relationship or something physical.
If you dream of having tape stuck to something, it implies a situation in your daily life that you view as a “sticky situation.”
Dreaming of an old cassette or video tape is a nostalgic dream – you either feel like you are “outdated” in a particular situation or you are missing something or someone from the past.
If you dream of videotaping or recording someone, it indicates that you want to “catch” someone in the act, so to speak.
Tea. To dream of tea symbolizes a desire for calmness and tranquility. Think of it this way – your psyche wants and needs a timeout! For our British friends, to dream of tea is often on a more emotional level and can be a very nostalgic dream. The fact that tea is so symbolic for their country, for a Brit to dream of tea can also imply a great love for and pride in their country.
Telephone. If you dream of a cellphone or a telephone, it is symbolic of communication. This dream suggests that there is someone you want to reach out to.
Many people also dream of telephones when they are expecting an important phone call or are expecting to hear from someone.
Tornado. To dream of natural disasters such as hurricanes, tsunamis, tornadoes, or floods indicates that something in our life is “out of control” and we feel completely helpless and at its mercy. These disasters could symbolize a fear that something will “blow your world apart,” “carry you away,” “destroy you and everything you love,” etc.
Many people have a sense of dread about something in their life and this will cause a disaster or catastrophe themed dream.
Tsunami.
U
Ugly. To dream of ugliness implies that you’re spending too much time concentrating on the negative things in life. It’s a reminder to stop looking for the unattractive things in life and people and look for the good.
Unicorn. Whimsical – in a word… whimsical! If you dream of a unicorn, think of it as your brain being a free-spirit and injecting some whimsy, creativity, and fun into your life. It may feel these are the things you need most.
A unicorn can, more rarely, indicate the number one. This would symbolize feelings of loneliness or even isolation. When someone stands alone on an issue (which is not always a negative thing), they often feel that they’re “all alone.” This emotion may carry over into their dream as something that’s strongly associated with the number 1 – of which a unicorn certainly is.
Uniform. If the uniform in the dream represents a particular group or organization, also check the dream dictionary entry for that branch.
Up. To dream that something has moved up or is moving up indicates that something positive has happened (or will soon happen) in the dreamer’s life.
University. (College, Tech School) Dreaming of a university, college, or tech school can mean several different things.
- If you are a student at one of these institutions, you really can’t read much into the dream’s location. It’s perfectly normal to dream of a place you spend time at.
- If you are a high school student and dream of a college, this indicates that you are thinking about your future – trying to determine what you want from life and what is best for you.
- If you are older and dream of an educational institution, it could simply mean that you miss something about the period of time in your life you spent in school.
- Some people dream of universities when they’re contemplating going back to school or learning something new.
V Dreams Below….
V
Vase. If the vase in the dream is empty, this indicates that the dreamer feels something in their life is empty. This could be their “nest” (if children have had the audacity to grow up!), their wallet or bank account, their opportunities, etc.
If the vase is filled, the opposite dream analysis comes into play. The dreamer feels that their life is filled with possibilities.
If every flower within the vase is the same color, the dream is most probably a “color dream,” meaning that the color involved is of more importance than the actual vase, itself. See color dreams for more information.
Videotape. If you dream of videotaping or recording someone, it indicates that you want to “catch” someone in the act, so to speak. If you dream that you’re the one being recorded, you may feel that someone is going to catch you in your own act.
Visit. To dream of someone visiting you usually means news of some type. More times than not, it’s news you recently received that was of significance to you.
If you dream of visiting someone (as in you go to them), you realize there is something you need to share with or tell someone. The tricky thing is, the person you visit in your dream may not even be the person you need to address. They could just be filling a role in the dream.
Volcano. To dream of a volcano – whether it is erupting or not – indicates that you or someone you know either has a volatile temper or may soon, justifiably, explode in anger. A volcano in a dream actually indicates that “something has been building up” for some time and is about to come to a head… in a potentially disastrous fashion.
Vomiting. To vomit, or see vomit, in you dream symbolizes something unsavory and “hard to swallow” that the dreamer has experienced in life. Very often, the dreamer had to go along with something or pretend to approve of something that they didn’t like. Vomiting in the dream is a way for them to purge the experience.
Speaking of purging, vomiting in a dream can also be symbolic of guilt or of a mistake that the dreamer would like to undo or “purge.”
Vomiting, of course, can also symbolize sickness – either an actual illness or one the dreamer fears for themselves or someone they care for.
Vulture. While most bird dreams are positive dreams with lovely emotions attached to them, dreaming of a vulture indicates someone taking advantage of another. The dreamer may feel like someone else is taking advantage of them (or another) or they may feel like they could be the guilty party.
A vulture in a dream could also, for better or worse, indicate an opportunist.
A REMINDER: The Dream Dictionary is a very “fluid” section of Dream Prophesy, in that it is forever changing. I add dream symbols and entries to the dictionary regularly and often even “flesh out” or “add to” old entries. Why? Because symbolisms change regularly. If the exact same dreams were experienced in, say 1975 and 2015, the interpretations would be vastly different. Different things symbolize different things over time and, therefore, the meanings change. This is why outdated and “ancient” dream guides are inaccurate.
The only accurate dream dictionary or dream guide is the one frequently updated.
