Dream Interpretation: What Does it Mean to Dream About a White Cat?!
You Have to Look at Three Separate Details from the Dream…
Cat dreams can have many different meanings and interpretations – a lot of it has to do with your feelings toward these beautiful animals. Me? I’m a crazy cat lady, if there ever was one, so they represent joy, love, happiness, fun, and a million and one other positive things to me.
However, some people are actually frightened by cats and seem to have a phobia to them. Unheard of! For such a person, their dream would represent fear and a plethora of anxieties and negative feelings.
Other people view cats as signs of good luck. Some think black cats are symbols of good luck while others believe all cats are lucky.
Cats are also symbolic to many people of
- mystery
- sneakiness
- unpredictability
- aloofness
- humor!
The cat in the dream would, in and of itself, be symbolic of how YOU (the dreamer) feel about cats. This symbolism would, thereby, be the “heart” of the dream. For example, if you associate mysteriousness with cats, there may be something in your daily life that you’re trying to wrap your head around… something you’re trying to figure out.
As for the second step in interpreting this dream, you need to look at the color of the cat – in this case, white.
White in dreams is usually symbolic of…
- purity (such as pure snow)
- cleanliness, without blemish or spot
However, for many people, white may also symbolize nurses or doctors, due to the medical uniforms and jackets. If this is the case, the dream could be more about something the dreamer is going through that’s health-related (or something someone they care about is going through OR even something they fear going through). If the dreamer is afraid of cats, to any degree, this is more likely than not the case.
The third thing you’d need to look at for the interpretation of this type of dream is how you felt during the dream and upon wakening. Our emotions in the dream (and immediately after waking from the dream) have more to say about a dream and its meaning than most people realize. Always put your emotions front and center when determining what your dream means.

Welcome to 2017, Dreamers! Let Me Know What Dream Interpretations You’re Looking For…
If you’re a regular visitor to the Dream Prophesy blog and Dream Dictionary, you can tell some pretty big changes have taken place over Christmas and New Years. I wanted to find a “theme” which made it easier for my visitors to read on all devices – iPads, iPhones, Tablets, Desktops, etc. I believe this theme will make it easier to read the dream dictionary as well as the blog posts and dream interpretations.
You should also be able to leave comments (and find replies) easier too.
I’d love for you to leave comments in this post telling me the types of dream interpretations you’d like to see MOST this year on Dream Prophesy. If you’ve recently had a dream you’d like interpreted and analyzed, leave it in the comments on this post, too. I will take each dream and interpret it in an upcoming post.
Dream Prophesy Posting Schedule:
Last year was incredibly busy (and a little nuts, if we’re being honest), so my schedule on Dream Prophesy got completely blown out of the water. When I was on Dream Prophesy, I was so busy working on the Dream Dictionary, What Numbers Mean in Dreams, and What Colors Mean in Dreams that the blog aspect was kind of ignored.
I’m back on top of things now and will be updating the blog at least three times a week.
Leave any dreams or dream subject requests in the comments. Thanks! I look forward to a really fun 2017 on Dream Prophesy! ~ Joi (“Joy”)
Dream Interpretation: Dreaming About Eagles
This Beautiful Symbol of America Usually Means “Patriotism”
I recently heard from a young high school student who had experienced an unusual dream. He had seen an eagle in his dream and, in fact, this beautiful bird was the only thing he could remember from the whole dream.
He said that this was fairly unusual because he’d never even seen an eagle in person and certainly hadn’t thought much about eagles, if ever.
Given the fact that he was an American – living in “H-O-T” Texas, as he put it! – I told him that the eagle symbolized America, Patriotism, and Freedom. I asked if any of these had been on his mind lately and he said they had been. He talked a little bit about world events and said that he hated when people didn’t respect their country.
Amen!
Even when non-Americans dream about eagles, the symbolism is freedom and grandness.
How to Identify a Real Dream Analyzer?
Dream! Whatever do they mean? You might probably recognize some connections between dreams and the real world but did you know you can actually do a few things that would help nurture your dreams.
Whenever people think about analyzing dreams, they think of crystal balls and psychics. But dream analysis has nothing to do with these things. It is actually a very good way of understanding yourself better.
Here, we are going to take a look at why people dream, why its analysis is important, and how you can being interpreting dreams.
Why do you dream?
Dreaming isn’t essential as far as the survival of your body is concerned. But it is important when it comes to the evolution and development of us as metaphysical beings. Dreaming is simply the communication between our mind in the conscious and unconscious state. It helps create a wholeness in people. Dreams are the bridge which allows movement between the things we think we know and the things we actually know.
Dreams allow us to play out puzzling and painful experiences or emotions safely. Dreams also let us process events and information which may be confusing or painful in environments which are emotionally real but unreal.
Dream analysis is a very important component of becoming whole. Dreams can reveal your deepest wounds and desires. So analyzing them will help you better understand yourself.
How do you analyze dreams?
One myth about dream analysis is there are stringent rules which people must follow. But each person is different which means there can be no prescription or formula.
Dreams can be understood in the large context of the self-discovery and unfolding of an individual. But, there are a few guidelines which can help you understand your dreams better and dig into their meaning a little more.
It is very important for you to record them. This is the most important step. Taking notes, even if it is a few sentences can draw the content from the unconscious. If you have trouble remembering your dreams, try keeping a journal by your bedside. If you don’t dream, make sure you mention it in the journal. Within a few weeks, you will start remembering your dreams, and you should be able to start recording them.
Think about how you felt in the dream. Were you angry, scared, remorseful, etc.? Did you feel the same way once you woke up? How comfortable were you with the feelings?
A dream dictionary can come in handy here. It contains possible explanations for a number of different types of dreams. You can go through the list and get a good idea of what your dreams actually mean.
Our unconscious self is constantly calling us to feel into ideas, actions, and thoughts. This helps us get a better understanding of who we are and where we are going.
You also need to identify the recurring thoughts in dreams and in your daily life. This is very important. If you can’t do this on your own, then you could visit online forums for help. Ask every question you have and you should be able to get a decent idea of what you are going through from others who may have experienced something similar.
You should even consider all of the elements of dreams. You can show up in dreams in a number of different ways. On a number of occasions, we could find our personalities, ourselves, in various elements of dreams, even if there are clear distinctions between us and the other characters in our dream. Ask yourself what it’s like to be the villain, the aggressor, etc.?
Even though there might be a trace of collective meaning for few universal symbols which have some bearing on the internal analysis and growth of a person, what’s more interesting is where dreamers go with the symbols and what they connect to because of the dreams.
You need to remember that you are the expert here. There is no one who will be able to understand your psyche better than you can. Even though websites like Kasamba can help you out quite a bit, you should never stop trusting in yourself. Your inner guide is often the best when it comes to your unconscious self.
For therapists, they need to put aside all their information, associations, and tools for dream interpretation and universal symbols with every new client. Each person needs to be treated as a new, unique world which needs to be discovered from the ground up.
You will be able to learn quite a bit from even the most mundane of dreams. You might be thinking of dreams as being more than fascinating, profound, or flashy enough to explore. But even when you are dreaming about having breakfast, you might just be able to yield some pretty thoughtful results.
Dream interpretation is the best way for you to understand your dreams and harness them in order to increase creativity, find life purpose, solve problems, and obtain accurate guidance in your personal life.
Dream interpretation
By the time you have learned to successful interpret your dreams, you should be able to interpret hidden messages that are being revealed to you while you are sleeping.
You need to see how you can use your dreams in order to solve problems and exploring past lives and looking into the future. For example, you may have a dream where you are on an island. This might just be indicative of you wanting some personal space in life. If you dream about rabbits running through green grass, you should look think of as a good omen. A calm sea or a ship that is docked may be interpreted as the promise of love. If you can decipher the language of dreams, you will be able to achieve much greater awareness spiritually, and this is the perfect way to achieve lasting happiness. So what are you waiting for? It’s time you went online and found the answers you were looking for.
Dreaming About Hope… What Does This Beautiful Dream Mean?
When Your Brain Tries to Tell You Something, Always Listen!
I had a dream about a woman. I have no idea who she was, she didn’t look familiar to me. I saw her working in an outdoor market in a foreign city. I believe we were in an Asian city and she appeared to be Japanese. All I know for sure about her is her name was HOPE. She was dressed colorfully and was smiling. I just really remember her being colorful and happy. I’m curious what this means because it seems out of the blue and it was so vivid and colorful. I remember all the beautiful colors and her happiness. Thank you.
This is a beautiful dream – not because of the specifics, so much, but because of what they mean. The dream is about one thing, and that’s the smiling lady’s name: HOPE. The fact that you even capitalized each letter of the name leads me to believe that, deep inside, you realize this as well.
Your subconscious, dreaming mind would find it almost impossible to translate HOPE in any way other than a woman’s name. To use a lady’s name is very clever and creative!
The fact that she was outside and represented a far away, exotic location says this to me: When you have HOPE, the wide world is ahead of you and absolutely anything is possible. It speaks to limitless potential and living without boundaries.
A colorful and beautiful world of happiness lies before you when your heart is filled with hope.
Maybe, in your daily life, you have recently thought about HOPE – possibly you were hopeful for something (or someone). The beautiful feeling simply found its way into your dream.
On the other hand, you may have recently begun to lose HOPE over a particular matter. This would be your brain’s way of telling you that, more than anything else, you need to get HOPE back. This dream is a perfect reminder of how important it is to listen to your dreams. They are almost always trying to tell you something.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful dream. I hope all of your days will be filled with HOPE and unlimited happiness.
